An elegant gift for the olive oil lover, this trio of premium extra virgin olive oils come in colorful porcelain 'jewel' bottles packed in a wooden gift box. Each olive oil showcases a different flavor from the family estate of Fuente de la Rosa in Córdoba. Featuring fruity, complex and delicate Hojiblanca olive oil in a blue bottle; sweet, pleasant and complex Pajarero olive oil in a rose-colored bottle and bright, aromatic Koroneiki olive oil pressed with lemon in a striped, yellow bottle.
But these oils offer more than just exquisite taste and beautiful presentation. They originate from the Fuente de la Rosa estate, which, according to legend, supplied olive oil for the Niña, Pinta and Santa María in 1492. The family recently unearthed a 500-year-old document in their archives, dating back to 1490, the year they acquired the estate. Another document indicates that olive oil from this very estate was used on Christopher Columbus’s first voyage in 1492.
The Sánchez de Puerta family is proud of the awards that the 1490 extra virgin olive oils have received, including Platinum (Highest Distinction) at the London International Olive Oil Competition in 2022 and Gold (Highest Distinction) Award at the Paris AVPA olive oil competition in 2024 and Gold for Packaging and Design in Berlin.
