Share the gift of Spain’s finest seafood. This collection holds six tins of artisan delicacies of the sea plus light, crisp crackers for serving. It is packed in a rustic carton, the perfect gift for the seafood lover.
The oceans of northern Spain are famed for quality seafood, and Conservas de Cambados is one of Spain’s finest canning companies, known for artisanal methods and top quality ingredients. They are located next to one of Spain’s largest estuaries, and they pride themselves on capturing the purest flavors of the sea within each tin.
The selection includes sardinillas - tiny, delicate sardines from Galicia. These small fish are caught from the tidal rivers of the Rías, then cleaned by hand and packed carefully into tins to preserve their mild, delicate flavor.
This box also contains Bonito del Norte, the silky, delicate tuna of northern Spain packed in olive oil. There are two varieties – hand-packed whole cuts of tuna and Ventresca tuna belly, so rich and fatty you will swear off all other tuna.
We’ve also included zamburiñas - whole scallops harvested while they’re still small and tender. The delicate meat is packed by hand in a tangy sauce, salsa Gallega, made with tomatoes and smoked paprika.
Finally, we’ve included two versions of the famous Galician octopus, or pulpo. The firm slices of octopus are cooked until tender and then packed in smoky salsa Gallega, or in olive oil.
